Senator Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party’s nominee for governor in the Kogi State gubernatorial election scheduled for November 11, 2023, revealed that the Kogi State administration had made threats of violence in an effort to prevent the PDP from staging a rally in the markets. Dino Melaye asserted that the Kogi State government wrote to the PDP leadership in Kogi State and requested that they cancel their rally because an intelligence report indicated that it would be violently disrupted.

Dino Melaye went on to say that the PDP was also instructed not to enter the market by the APC government in Kogi, but that the PDP violated the order of the Kogi State government and went ahead with the demonstration because it is of the opinion that power truly belongs to the people.

Dino Melaye added that the PDP is aware of its rights and will fully exercise them. Furthermore, according to Dino Melaye, PDP will intimidate the Kogi State administration rather than allowing itself to be frightened.…… Continue Your Reading
