Dino Melaye asserted that the Kogi State government wrote to the PDP leadership in Kogi State and requested that they cancel their rally because an intelligence report indicated that it would be violently disrupted.
Dino Melaye went on to say that the PDP was also instructed not to enter the market by the APC government in Kogi, but that the PDP violated the order of the Kogi State government and went ahead with the demonstration because it is of the opinion that power truly belongs to the people.
