More accusations against the Nigerian Army have been made by Private Ruth Ogunleye, a female soldier who was recently dismissed by the army for making false claims against a senior commander. She stated that the army made up stories against her in a recent appearance on AIT, following her accusation of assault by Colonel IB Abdulkarim.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
Ruth made reference to the news of her discharge, she stated, “what happened yesterday was a cooked up story, a planned work, myself and I.B Abdulkarim were in the same unit, he was my C.O in Nigerian Army Medical Cantonment OJo, Colonel Abdulkarim asked me to sleep with him at Eagle Stone Hotel at about 7pm on 22nd February 2022, I refused”.
Ruth alleged that after rejecting his advances, Colonel Abdulkarim began harassing her. She alleged, “Colonel IB Abdulkarim injected me with Lagactil, put me inside casket, popularly called body bag in the army, and harrassed me”. She also claimed that he had carnal knowledge of her and admitted her to a psychiatric hospital.
