Diri urges PDP to resolve internal crisis for stronger opposition

Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to address its internal crisis to remain a vibrant opposition party.

Speaking after the inauguration of the PDP South-South Zonal Caretaker Committee, Diri emphasized the need for self-examination, rather than blaming external forces for the party’s challenges.

“It’s easy to point fingers, but we must first fix our internal issues. Only then can we compete effectively with other parties,” he stated.

Diri highlighted the unity among PDP governors in the South-South, noting that four out of the six states in the zone were under PDP leadership.

He urged the newly inaugurated caretaker committee to strengthen party cohesion.

He reaffirmed that no individual is bigger than the party and called for collective effort in resolving PDP’s challenges.
