Daniel Bwala refutes an APC Chieftain who claimed that 45 ministries are insufficient by saying that America has 15 ministers.

Daniel Bwala, a PDP chieftain, responded to an APC member who claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s nomination of 45 ministers was insufficient. APC member Aliyu Audu stated that he believes that 45 ministers are insufficient given the size of our people in an interview with Channels TV. Bwala, who was also on the broadcast, responded to that by saying,

In fact, when he said that because Nigeria had a population of over 200 million, there aren’t enough ministers, I disagreed with both his premise and his conclusion. With 24 cabinet members—15 ministers and 9 special assistants—America has a population of nearly 300 million people. They also have the world’s largest economy. In 2003, New York’s fire department budget was higher than Nigeria’s, yet Nigeria still had 15 ministers at the time.

I think he was more concerned with politics than with good governance when it came to the number of ministers, therefore I disagree with that.…… Continue Your Reading
