A source told SaharaReporters on Wednesday night that Kuti left for “Switzerland on Air France with his band members at 11 pm Nigerian time”.
“Kuti has flown out to Switzerland tonight to commence his summer tour in Europe. He’s already missed a lot of shows. His fans in Zurich are eagerly awaiting him tomorrow night,” the source added.
SaharaReporters had reported that Seun Kuti’s trial at the Yaba Magistrate’s Court was adjourned to July 3.

Court Threatens To Declare FFK Wanted
Justice Olubumni Abike-Fadipe of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos State has threatened to declare a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, wanted if he fails to appear on the next adjourned date for his trial on the forgery allegation.

Justice Abike-Fadipe decried Fani-Kayode’s constant non-appearance in court, saying that the last time he was in court for the trial was on November 4, 2022.
Recall that the former minister is standing trial on a 12-count charge bordering on the use of false documents, use of fabricated evidence, procuring the execution of documents by false pretense and fabricating evidence.

At a conference in the Abuja, the spokesperson for the CUPP and member-elect Ikenga Ugochinyere said but for capacity, competency and character of the candidates endorsed by the APC, he would have led an opposition against them like he did in 2015.
The member-elect, who recalled that the Senate Presidency has been in the North for the past 16 years, said equity demands the seat be occupied by a ranking senator from the South, especially the South-South to ensure religious stability and justice.
