Barnabas Awuni as known in real life has today sent in his resignation to his employer, Mountaineers FC as a way of official parting ways with the Kweiman-based division 2 club.
Coach BB as affectionately called in the football fraternity before his appointment to Mountaineers FC had already worked with some notable football clubs including the likes of Vision Football which is owned by GFA Chief of Staff, Michael Osekre.
Speaking to Coach BB, after the rumors about his resignation from Mountainers FC, the gaffer had this to say;
“First, I want to say a big thank you to the board, management, and technical team not forgetting the playing body. They have really supported me. Mountaineers FC has really made me who i am today and my time with them was positive. I will still be part of the Mountainers FC family because I might come. The future is unknown”
Asked about times when he had challenges with the club he disclosed,
“There were not many challenges but management did their best for us but not to the maximum, i must be fair, but it is normal in Ghana football because every team has a challenge but my biggest challenge was the mood of communication within the club, despite this deficiency which affected me a lot but it didn’t discourage me to stop pushing’’
With what is next for Coach BB after his resignation from Mountainers FC, the young energetic coach had this to say;
“For now my concentration will go into a project am into with my other two partners to project our own youth team called Mustard Seed Soccer Academy whiles working on my next move. Few clubs are in contact with me and I prefer to go back to Division one football it’s not going to be my first experience after being with Vision FC in the 2015/2016 league for a season so it’s not going to be my first time but it might be another zone’’ the coach added
