Christians and Yorubas received all 5 of Tinubu’s crucial appointments to restart the economy, according to MURIC.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu was urged to reconsider his recent choices in a statement released on Monday by Professor Ishaq Akintola, the director of MURIC, through SaharaReporters. Akintola attacked Tinubu in the statement for failing to give Muslim candidates for public office due consideration.

The head of MURIC expressed his displeasure with Tinubu’s nominations, which he felt had a biased approach. He stressed that this circumstance runs counter to what Muslims had hoped would be a more inclusive government in Nigeria as a result of the Muslim-Muslim ticket supported by the ruling party.

He stated in the statement that they were extremely alarmed by the recent appointments made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which he claimed mostly benefited Christians and Yorubas at the expense of Muslims. For instance, five of the initial eight security chiefs the president picked are Christians. Ministerial posts have also shown this tendency.

He declared, “President Tinubu gave primarily Christians and Yorubas the five important appointments he made to rebuild the economy. The newly appointed CBN Governor, Dr. Michael Cardoso, the Finance Minister, Wale Edun, the Acting Chairman of FIRS, Hon.
