Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who just happened to be elected president of Nigeria, wants George Akume to be the party’s chairman, the source hinted while providing more information on the issues raging within the All Progressives Congress, APC, regarding the party’s chairmanship position. Senator Abdullahi Adamu may be leaving his seat very soon, and someone else will take over from him due to these reasons, the source suggested.

According to a report, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, the current Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, and former governor of Benue State, George Akume, are expected to succeed Adamu as the national chairman of the APC. Adamu is clearly on his way out as the leader of the governing party as a result of the post-election crisis that is consuming him and putting the party on the verge of collapse.

More information revealed that George Akume, a political ally of Tinubu since joining the defunct Action Congress, one of the legacies that formed the APC, is viewed as the best candidate to succeed Abdullahi Adamu because of his extensive experience in party politics.
