The Chief Spokesman for the Obi-Datti Media Office, Tanko, revealed during an interview on Channels TV’s “Politics Today” on Monday night that no fewer than 16 parties met with the Labour Party to discuss how to cooperate to overthrow the ruling APC a few months prior to the presidential elections.
He claims that progressive political parties are debating how to address the nation’s current state of affairs and are highly concerned about it.
He remarked, “It is extremely accurate when you talk about conversations for a potential working coalition with other political groups. Do not forget that these debates were already underway prior to the elections on February 25. Discussions with other parties that share the same ideals and principles as the Labour Party are therefore a positive step. And despite the fact that we are fully aware that Nigeria is on the verge of total collapse, we will still talk to ourselves.
