Arabambi claims that a court order issued on April 5th prohibiting Julius Abure from posing as the party’s national chairman prevented the Appeal Court from recognizing the Imo State primary election held by Abure’s group. He asserted that the court upheld Apapa’s position as the National Chairman of the Labour Party by recognizing the primary held by Apapa’s group in Imo on April 16.
As of right now, the Court of Appeal has confirmed Alhaji Lamidi Apapa as the chairman of the Labour Party, and as a result, it has recognized the primary we had on the 16th, according to Arabambi. They conducted their own investigation on the 15th, and the Court of Appeal confirmed that they would not deal with your Edo State initiative because you were restrained by the court on April 5th, and until the judgment [preventing Abure from posing as National Chairman] is overturned, they would not do anything with it.
