The son of Kaduna State Governor Nasir El Rufai, Bashir El Rufai, has stated that he will do all in his power to translate into Hausa the purported audio discussion between Peter Obi, a candidate for the Labour Party’s presidential nomination, and Bishop Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church.
In a tweet published on Sunday, Bashir stated that he would see to it that the tape was broadcast throughout the North after it had been translated into Hausa. He said this in response to the supposed audio recording of Obi calling the presidential race a “religious war.”….. CONTINUE READING
Bashir added, “I pledge to do all in my small power to ensure that recording of Saint Obi is translated to Hausa & disseminated in as much areas in the North as possible having now been confirmed by his highly respected Spokesman, Kenneth Okonkwo.”
On the internet, there have been conflicting responses to the audio cassette that the Peoples Gazette was able to obtain. The tape’s authenticity was confirmed by Peter Obi’s spokesperson, Kenneth Okonkwo, who also pointed out that political criminals are misinterpreting the conversation’s context.
In contrast to Kenneth Okonkwo’s assertion, Peter Obi denied the audio tape on Sunday in a statement released by Mr. Diran Onifade, the head of the Obi-Datti Media Office, calling it a “deeply fake file” intended to sow religious unrest in the nation.
