Different individuals have responded to the recent coup in the Niger Republic.
Recall that in an effort to restore constitutional order, the Economic Community of West African States, or ECOWAS, put several sanctions on the country.
However, there are rumors circulating that Algeria would give the Niger Republic free electricity.
In his Facebook post in response, Bashir Ahmad claimed Algeria was just trying to obstruct the efforts of the Economic Community of West African States, or ECOWAS.
He claimed that they are undermining ECOWAS efforts.
