During the Arise TV morning program, Nigerian journalist Ayo Mairo-Ese remarked on how ironic it is that the APC, which had earlier recommended Mr. Peter Obi to appear in court, is now publicly humiliating him.

Ayo Mairo-Ese issued a statement to this effect, claiming that voter suppression occurred during the election and that it would be catastrophic to suppress justice.
Nonetheless, she pleaded with the APC members to refrain from disparaging the candidates who had filed a lawsuit on their behalf.
He stated:
“It is remarkable that the APC had the strongest voice in court and now that Mr. Peter Obi, rather than screaming for a revolution or urging people to go to the street, is seeking redress in court as it is allowed by law.” If I may use this phrase, they are now bringing him public shame in the justice system.
There was suppression of the vote; let there be no suppression of justice. Everyone should be given the chance to present their side of the story in court if they feel they have a case to make. Mr. Bayo Onanuga and the APC should stop talking to the media and the public in an effort to make it look as though Mr. Peter Obi is acting outside of his legal rights as a Nigerian seeking restitution…….
