Sanusi II made this appeal during his sermon after leading the two rakat prayers at the Kofar Mata Eid prayer ground on Sunday in Kano.
He emphasized the importance of charitable actions during this significant period, stressing that the well-being of the less fortunate should be a priority for those who have the means. “We should all remember to help the needy, particularly during these festive times.
It is a duty upon us to support those who are struggling,” Sanusi II stated, highlighting the moral responsibility of the affluent to provide for the underprivileged.
Meanwhile, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has launched a significant meat distribution initiative, aimed at providing for the less fortunate during the Eid festivities.
The initiative involves the distribution of meat from 700 cows to 5,600 individuals across the state.
This charitable act is facilitated by a German-based organization, HASENE, in collaboration with the BARIS Foundation as part of their Edil-Kabir Kurban project for the year 1445AH.
The symbolic distribution was inaugurated at Bayero University by Governor Yusuf, who expressed deep satisfaction with the benevolent gesture.
He anticipated that this act of kindness would significantly uplift the spirits of countless individuals in need. “This initiative is a profound demonstration of compassion and generosity. It will bring immense joy and relief to many families,” Governor Yusuf remarked.
Governor Yusuf also issued a charge to those administering and distributing the meat to do so with justice and a deep reverence for Allah, ensuring that the responsibilities entrusted to them are fulfilled with integrity.
“This project must be carried out with the utmost fairness and sincerity, reflecting the true spirit of Kurban,” he urged.
THE Governor advocated for extending the meat distribution to various other vulnerable groups, including patients in hospitals, inmates of care facilities, and destitute individuals on the streets.
He emphasizes the necessity of reaching out to all segments of society that might benefit from this charitable act. “Let us not forget those who are confined to hospitals, and care homes, and those who wander the streets without support. They too deserve to partake in the blessings of Eid,” he said.
Governor Yusuf reaffirmed the Kano State Government’s steadfast commitment to collaborating with any organization willing to aid the state’s populace in various aspects of life.
He highlighted the government’s openness to partnerships aimed at improving the living conditions of its citizens. “We are always ready to work with any entity that seeks to uplift the people of Kano.
Our goal is to ensure a better life for everyone in our state,” he concluded.
This call to action by both Emir Sanusi II and Governor Yusuf shared commitment to fostering a more supportive and compassionate society, particularly during significant religious celebrations like Eid Adha.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
