Army kills 3 terrorists in Kaduna-Abuja highway ambush

Troops of 1 Division, Nigerian Army, under Operation Fasan Yamma, have neutralized three terrorists in an ambush near Ngwagi Hill, Gwagwada community, off the Kaduna-Abuja Highway in Chikun LGA, Kaduna State.

The operation, conducted on March 11, 2025, was based on credible intelligence and led to a firefight, forcing other terrorists to flee with injuries.

Recovered items include, 2 AK-47 rifles, 8 AK-47 magazines, 374 rounds of 7.62mm x 39mm ammunition, 88 rounds of 7.62mm x 54mm NATO ammunition, and 1 Infinix mobile phone.

Major General Mayirenso Lander David Saraso, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, commended the troops for their resilience and urged them to continue combating criminal elements.
