Ardo discusses why he was repeatedly defeated in governorship elections while running on the PDP platform.

Even though he has been a party member for a long time, he repeatedly stated during his explanation of why he lost elections that the Peoples Democratic Party does not adhere to the party’s constitution and regulations.

He said, “I lost because the party never followed the constitution, guidelines, and rules. It has always been impositions, also in the congresses to form its executives and primaries to nominate its candidates; and I have never been the favored candidate of the oligarchs because of my principled stand against their lawlessness and exploitative tendencies.”

Further talking, he said, that the Peoples Democratic Party +PDP), has always been a lawless party from time, dancing to the tunes of its oligarchs, and that was why he took the party to court several times, and when the courts themselves failed to yield positive results, he left the party for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) where he is now.
