He claimed that the party was elevating the Igbo people above all other regions and making them feel inferior while speaking on Arise TV. In addition, he said that members of a competing party had been admitted to their group.
He said; “Actually we are not quarrelling over money, our issue with Abure was their attempt to ‘Igbonize’ Labour Party. That was our issue with Mr Peter Obi, which he failed. If you look around today, every of his spokespersons are Igbo people. They don’t want the Niger Delta, they don’t want the Yoruba and Hausa, and that was what we were telling him that he can’t have his way like this.
“That was our principal focus of our issue with them because in our campaign council, they brought all manner of people from PDP.”
Narrating further, he said that they wanted to reduce the Labour Party to a regional party of Igbos, but where it became unacceptable is the party making them feel inferior. He said that they will keep fighting until their given their rightful recognition.
