Akpabio stressed the emotional impact on people who knew the family in a video that TVC posted to YouTube. He said that when individuals thought back on the lives their charity had touched, they would cry.
In Akpabio’s words: “When you look at Wigwe University you will cry, when you pass through his house you will cry, when you pass through any Access Bank branch whether the one in Dubai or Kenya you will cry. When you come across children they touched, those that they sent to school, and the lives he touched when they are talking about him and the lives he touched you will cry. When you even remember the fact that his heir Chizi was already an iconic figure, a talented young man highly educated in the best university, prepared to take over the empire from his father, and yet he is no more, you will cry”.
