After Tinubu’s Slip at Democracy Day Event, Atiku Abubakar Reacts

Following a small slip during the Democracy Day celebration in Abuja, former vice president and 2023 presidential contender Atiku Abubakar has conveyed his sympathies for President Bola Tinubu. In a statement shared on his social media handle, Atiku conveyed his concern, stating, “I sincerely sympathise with President Bola Tinubu, @officialABAT, over this unfortunate incident as he was set to review the parade on Democracy Day. I do hope that all is well with him.”

Despite the momentary misstep, President Tinubu quickly regained his balance and continued with the ceremonial proceedings. Dada Olusegun, the Special Adviser to the President on Social Media, reassured the public by describing the incident as a “mild misstep” and confirmed that the President carried on with the day’s events without any issues.

The ceremony at Eagles Square is said to be a key event in the nationwide celebrations marking Nigeria’s annual Democracy Day.
