Uche, who worked as a security guard at the facility, reportedly fell into the diesel tank on Saturday evening. However, his body was only found two days later. Neighbors and locals began searching for him after noticing his absence and eventually came across his lifeless body inside the tank.
Local sources speculate that Uche may have been attempting to steal diesel from the tank when the unfortunate accident occurred. A resident, speaking on condition of anonymity, explained that Uche’s slippers and clothing were found near the tank, along with the facility’s gate left ajar, raising suspicions of foul play.
“When I came to the shop this morning, the landlord’s brother mentioned that Uche had been trying to steal diesel on Saturday night. Somehow, he must have slipped and fallen into the tank. When they didn’t see him on Sunday, they began searching and eventually found him in the tank,” the resident recounted.
The circumstances of Uche’s death have prompted both his family and representatives of the telecommunications company to file a formal complaint with the police.
