Following the Lagos State governorship election, the Labour Party’s candidate for governor, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has provided information on some of their supporters’ serious conditions.

Gbadebo responded to the matter by saying,
“It is critical for every well-meaning Nigerian and Lagosian to understand the importance of protecting our democracy before violence becomes normalized.” Currently, three Labour Party agents have died.
One of them experienced a major surgery today, three lost their eyesight, and nearly 22 have bullets stuck in their bodies. These are the consequences of what transpired on Saturday. We must stand against the dominance of agberos in Lagos, and this goes beyond my political ambitions.
He added, “I have setup a platform to pay for the medical care of the victims. Now, they are calling for peace without justice after people have been hurt and some have been killed. They want everyone to pretend like the violence did not happen. We tried reaching out to the security agencies on that day, but they told me that they were overstretched.
