Asiwaju Bola Ahmed released a statement following the events,
said he is concerned by reports of instances of ethnic slurs that can lead to senseless mischaracterization.
Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, however, criticized Tinubu’s plea for Nigerians to unite as hypocritical.
Via his spokeswoman Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said in a statement that if Tinubu is sincere, he should see to it that everyone proven to be responsible is detained and charged.
He claims that Tinubu is solely interested in power. When Tinubu came to power, he claimed, Lagos was open and welcoming.
Atiku used the late Nnamdi Azikiwe, who established his political base in Lagos, as an example.
“Tinubu is only after power. Before he took over power, Lagos was known for its urbane and accommodating nature. The late Nnamdi Azikiwe built his political base and business empire in Lagos.” Sunday Newspaper quoted Atiku Abubakar as saying through his spokesperson Phrank Shaibu…….
