Ganduje highlighted that the APC has implemented an effective political strategy to ensure a landslide victory for its candidate in the Edo governorship race. He emphasized the readiness of the party’s campaign machinery, indicating that all necessary steps have been taken to guarantee success. This optimism comes amidst heightened political activities and campaigning efforts by various political parties in Edo State as the election date approaches.

In addition to focusing on Edo State, Ganduje also revealed that the APC is gearing up for another significant election, scheduled to take place in November. He did not specify which election he was referring to, but it suggests the party’s broader strategic focus on maintaining its influence and expanding its political dominance across various states in Nigeria. Ganduje’s statements underline the APC’s commitment to not only winning elections but also to consolidating power in key regions.

Ganduje went further to express the party’s ambitions in the southeastern part of Nigeria, particularly targeting Anambra State as the next political battleground. He noted that the APC already has a presence in Ebonyi and Imo states and is making concerted efforts to expand its influence. According to Ganduje, the party aims to make significant inroads in the Southeast by capturing more states in that zone, starting with Anambra.

The APC chairman’s comments reflect the party’s strategic objective to increase its political footprint in regions traditionally considered as strongholds of opposition parties. By focusing on states like Anambra, Ganduje’s remarks suggest a calculated move to weaken the opposition’s influence and strengthen the APC’s political control across Nigeria. His statements come at a time when the political landscape is becoming increasingly competitive, with parties jostling for power ahead of upcoming elections.

He said: “We want to start with Anambra. Already, we have Ebonyi and Imo. Now we are encroaching into that zone to ensure that we capture most of the states.
