Alagbon, the first female chief of FCID, is appointed by Nigeria Police.

As the first female to lead the highly regarded police formation, the Nigeria Police Force appointed a female Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) to lead the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos State.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

The Public Relations Officer of the FCID Annex, ASP Aminat Mayegun, who announced the development on her X handle @mayegunAmina, on Friday afternoon, said the senior officer, AIG Augustina Ogbodo, officially assumed office as the 53rd head of the outfit on Friday.

She took over from AIG Ayodeji Ogundele, thus making her the first ever woman to head the highly sensitive and popular police formation in Lagos State.

The FCID Alagbon is known as a place where many high-calibre frauds, drug-related offences and other notorious criminal activities are busted and the name Alagbon is one that many people in Lagos are familiar with.

Mrs Ogbodo is now to head the outfit and before her appointment, she was Commissioner of Police, Ebonyi State and she also served as the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the Maritime Police Command at the Force Headquarters Annex, Obalende.

“Her tenure there was marked by her unyielding stance against corruption, harassment, and misconduct, ensuring the maintenance of high professional and ethical standards within the maritime sea economy,” the Police PRO wrote.

AIG Ogbodo, a native of Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State, is a graduate of History from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and also had a a Diploma in Police Science from the Staff College, Jos, Plateau State,
