Kelvin Eze says. “When I Went To Negotiate My Family’s Release, I Met Young Fulani Boys Led By ‘General'”

In a video statement, Eze recounted how his mother and younger sister were kidnapped by a group of teenage abductors, reportedly of Fulani descent. The kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of 200 million naira for their release.

“They kidnapped my mum and my younger sister, and I went to negotiate for their release,” Eze said. “When I got there, I discovered it was teenage Fulani boys, and one of them called himself the general.”

After prolonged negotiations and appeals, the ransom was reduced to 15 million naira, which the family was forced to pay to secure the safe release of Eze’s mother and sister.
