According to Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) analysts, the missiles targeted a parking lot for aircraft, which may have included combat planes.

Photos from the scene revealed evidence of submunition detonations, consistent with M39 missiles with cluster warheads. Analysts confirmed the geolocation of the strike and shared images showing the impact on the airfield.

 

A Russian military blogger, reportedly connected to the Air Force, acknowledged the strike, claiming that Ukraine launched eight missiles. He stated that Russian forces attempted to intercept seven of them, although “combat efforts” do not confirm successful interceptions.

The attack underscores Ukraine’s growing capability to use long-range precision weaponry, supplied by the United States, against critical Russian military infrastructure.

The strike marks a significant escalation in Ukraine’s use of advanced weaponry, showcasing its ability to target deep into Russian territory.
