Zelenskiy accuses Russia of using Ukraine as a war laboratory after 800 bombs and 460 drones were fired at the UKR.

According to the Reuters story, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged Western countries to give Ukraine top priority when it comes to supplying it with cutting-edge air defense equipment on Sunday after his troops successfully intercepted 50 out of 73 Russian drones that were launched overnight.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

In his video address, Zelenskiy highlighted the need to counter Russia’s use of its new medium-range ballistic missile, the Oreshnik, which struck the city of Dnipro last week.

He announced that Ukraine was collaborating with allies to analyze the missile’s wreckage and find a response.

“Forensic work is ongoing to determine the specifications of the missile,” Zelenskiy said. “The world has air defense systems capable of neutralizing this threat, and we must focus on obtaining them.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed the Oreshnik missile was deployed in retaliation for Ukraine’s use of Western missiles on Russian targets. Putin claimed the missile could not be intercepted by current defense systems.

Moving on, Zelenskiy decried Russia’s continuous assault on Ukraine, noting that the past week alone saw over 800 guided bombs, 460 attack drones, and 20 missiles launched. “Ukraine is not a testing ground for weapons,” he said. “We are a sovereign, independent state, and Russia’s goal is to spread fear, weaken us, and kill our people.”

Kyiv faced an intense drone assault overnight, with air defense systems intercepting more than 10 drones targeting the capital. Explosions were heard as the defense forces worked to repel the attack.
