He hypothesized that these people might have betrayed their allegiance for a lot of reasons, including personal gain, fear of being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), or other factors.
When speaking with Symfoni TV, Ugochinyere praised Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s consistency in opposition politics and made comparisons to him.
Ugochinyere claims that despite difficult circumstances, Tinubu remained loyal to his political party, switching from the Action Congress (AC) to the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and then to the All Progressives Congress (APC), never siding with the governing party at that time.
In his words, “PDP could not have an ordinary meeting for the next chairman, which is constitutional, just because we have traitors among us who have no honor and decency. I don’t know if it’s a plot of land or fear of EFCC, but they made them sell their own party.”
“Even when Asiwaju was in the opposition party, he stood alone as a man. Even with AC, he never joined the ruling party. From AC to ACN and then to APC.
