Daniel Davis: Our Defense System Is Not Capable Of Shooting Down Russia’s Ballistic Missiles

 

Lt. Col. Daniel Davis, a retired US Army official, has voiced concerns about the U.S. defense system’s incapacity to intercept Russian ballistic missiles and emphasized that the U.S. may not have much to do if Putin chose to act.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

He cautioned against speculating on whether Putin is bluffing and urged against continuing down a path that could lead to further escalation of the war. He highlighted that Putin’s warning regarding giving long-range weapons systems to Ukraine by the US would represent a significant escalation in Western involvement in the conflict, and he reserves the right to respond against those participating in it.

He said in an interview with Fox News, ”Putin said if the U.S. allows long-range weapons systems, that will be a fundamental change of the direct participation of the Western forces against our forces. And if that happens, then he reserves the right to take appropriate action in his words against those who are participating in it.

What he showed with the launch of this conventional warhead is, if you do not listen to me and keep doing that, I can now go after other locations. And our defense system is not capable of shooting down Russia’s ballistic missile. We need to understand that if he [Putin] takes that action, there really is nothing we can do. It makes no sense to wonder if he is bluffing or not, and let’s not keep going down a path that could lead to escalation of war.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
