Abuja and Lagos Oil Thieves Barons Want Me Dead – Tompolo

 

Owner of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Government Ekpemupolo, often known as Tompolo, has accused prominent oil thieves in Lagos and Abuja of planning his assassination. Tompolo, who has been leading efforts to secure the country’s oil pipelines in the Niger Delta, alleged that influential figures from outside the region are behind the illicit oil trade.

He stated that his actions in cracking down on oil theft have angered many powerful individuals in Lagos and Abuja, leading to threats against his life.

“I have stepped on many toes in Lagos and Abuja while trying to protect our pipelines,” Tompolo said, adding that he now faces constant danger.

He explained that due to the threats, he is unable to travel freely, even to Abuja, without a security detail.

He further revealed that some of his security personnel are allegedly collaborating with the oil barons, making his situation even more precarious.

In response to the growing problem, Tompolo called for better collaboration between the Nigerian Navy and other security agencies to strengthen surveillance and protection of the country’s oil infrastructure.
