Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has declared that the federal government led by President Bola Tinubu has killed more terrorists in the last two years, than previous governments.
Fani-Kayode also praised the Minister of State for Defence, Muhammad Matawalle, for his role in Nigeria’s fight against terrorism, describing recent media attacks against him as “shameless and nauseating.”
Wtriting on his Facebook page, Fani-Kayode said Matawalle has shown “more loyalty to President Bola Tinubu and more commitment to the war against terrorists than virtually anyone else since assuming office.”
He highlighted the cooperation between Matawalle and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, saying it has led to the killing of more terrorists in the last two years than in the previous eight combined.
Fani-Kayode urged Matawalle to remain focused and ignore efforts to discredit him, describing him as “a ruthless and courageous fighter who does not take prisoners in a fight or show the enemy any mercy.”
He expressed confidence that the appointment of General Christopher Musa as Minister of Defence, alongside Ribadu, Matawalle, and the new Service Chiefs, will further strengthen Nigeria’s security operations.
Fani-Kayode concluded by assuring Matawalle of his support, adding: “We are with you, my brother, and more importantly, God is behind you.”
