BREAKING: Osun Governor, Adeleke Resigns from PDP [DETAILS]

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has formally resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), bringing an unexpected twist to the unfolding crisis within the opposition party.

In a letter submitted on November 4, 2025, to the leadership of the PDP in Sagba Abogunde, Ward 2, Ede North Local Government Area, Adeleke announced his decision to exit the party under which he rose to national prominence.

The governor cited the escalating national leadership crisis rocking the PDP as the primary reason for his departure, noting that the prolonged internal wrangling had made continued membership untenable.

Adeleke, in the correspondence addressed to his ward executives, expressed gratitude to party members and supporters for the platform that enabled his political rise—from his days in the Senate to his current position as governor.

He acknowledged the support he received across various election cycles, describing the PDP as the vehicle that helped him actualise significant milestones in his political journey.
