Protests: Arewa Youths Group Demands Reversal of Tinubu’s Economic Policies, Says There’s No Going Back

 

The Arewa Youths Forum (AYF) has boldly said that it will not stop protesting President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies and that they must be reversed. The group contends that recent measures, such as the naira’s floating value and the elimination of gasoline subsidies, have made Nigerians’ economic hardships worse, especially for those living in the country’s north.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

During a press conference in Kano on Tuesday, AYF President, Mallam Ibrahim Musa, criticized the government’s approach, stating that it has led to skyrocketing inflation, unemployment, and increased poverty. He accused the administration of neglecting the plight of ordinary Nigerians while favoring the elites.

“Our protests will not stop until these harmful policies are reversed. The burden on the masses is unbearable, and the government must act immediately to ease the suffering of the people,” Musa said.

The group has called for urgent reforms, including reinstating fuel subsidies and stabilizing the naira, to alleviate the economic pressures on Nigerians. They warned of more nationwide protests if their demands are not met.
