According to reports from DAILY POST, the judge opted out of the trial following Kanu’s declaration that he had no confidence or trust in her. In the middle of the session, Kanu unexpectedly jumped up from the dock and instructed his lawyer, Aloy Ejimako, to sit down, insisting that he needed to address the court directly.

The courtroom erupted in chaos as Kanu took control of the proceedings, asserting his lack of confidence in Justice Nyako and demanding her immediate recusal from the case.

Despite objections from the federal government’s lawyer, Adegboyega Awomolo, SAN, who argued that the trial was in accordance with a Supreme Court judgment, the judge remained firm in her decision to step aside.

She subsequently recused herself and directed that the case file be returned to the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, John Tsoho, for reassignment to a different judge.

As a result of these developments, Kanu has been returned to the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
