Edo Guber: Sam Amadi, Anyone thinking of being Nigeria's President in 2027 not serious

Sam Amadi, the director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, reportedly attacked presidential candidates in 2027 without addressing the core problems with Nigeria’s election administration system, according to a Daily Post story. Amadi expressed his views via X, formerly known as Twitter, stating, “Anyone thinking of being the President of Nigeria in 2027 and not thinking of disbanding this @inecnigeria is not serious.” His comment reflected frustration with Nigeria’s electoral processes and the role of INEC in overseeing elections.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has also rejected the result declared by INEC, raising concerns about the integrity of the process. Tony Iyoha, the PDP’s state collation agent, claimed that the results from two local government areas, Oredo and Ikpoba-Okha, were intentionally delayed to manipulate the final tally.

Amadi, who previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has been vocal about the need for electoral reform.

He criticized both Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, asserting that neither politician is currently making significant efforts to reform the structure or culture of election management in the country.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
