According to Farotimi, A Man Fraudulently Took Power And Say Subsidy Is Gone, Destroyed Savings Of 98% Of Citizens

 

Dele Farotimi, a well-known human rights attorney and former South-West spokesman for the Obi/Datti presidential campaign, recently expressed his worries to News Central about the rising taxes imposed by President Bola Tinubu’s administration. He criticized the government for making life more difficult for Nigerians.

In his words, he believes that these policies are not in the best interest of the citizens.

Farotimi also raised questions about how Tinubu came to power.

He stated that in his view, the president took office “fraudulently.”

According to him, this has worsened the situation for Nigerians.

He went further to say that Tinubu’s administration made things worse on the very first day of power.

He pointed out the government’s decision to remove the fuel subsidy.

He explained that this action caused a significant financial strain on Nigerians, especially the middle and lower classes.

Farotimi believes that this policy hurt the savings of the majority of Nigerians.

“It was always their job to tax us, to assail us and make Nigerians lives intolerable. A man came to power, in my own opinion fraudulently so and then proceeded to say subsidy is gone on the first day. That singular pronouncement destroyed the savings of over 98% of Nigerians.
