Report Claiming That Tinubu Has Ordered CBN Governor To Resign From His Role, Bayo Onanuga Reacts

 

On Tuesday, Bayo Onanuga, the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Special Advisor for Information and Strategy, took to his official X account to respond to a rumor circulating that claimed the President had given the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso, orders to step down from his position.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

According to the report that Bayo Onanuga shared on his page;

“Almost a year in the saddle, President Bola Tinubu has ordered Olayemi Cardoso to resign his appointment as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) owing to his inability to stop the poor performance of the economy, most especially, the free fall of Nigeria’s currency, the Naira”.

Reacting to the report, Bayo Onanuga stated that it is not true. He said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not asked the CBN governor to resign.

According to Bayo Onanuga on his official page;
