Edo: Andrew Emwanta, There’s A Man Called Olaye, He Comes Into Political Meetings With Pump-Action

Prominent attorney Andrew Emwanta made shocking claims about the safety of those who were listed as wanted by Edo State officials in a recent appearance with Channels Television. Emwanta claims that the Edo State Government House is home to up to fifteen people on the law enforcement wanted list, all with Governor Godwin Obaseki’s approval and knowledge.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

“The persons that have been declared wanted, about 15 of them, are being housed in the Government House,” Emwanta claimed during the interview. “I know their names. If you want me to mention their names, I can.”

He went on to accuse Governor Obaseki of offering these individuals sanctuary under the guise of his executive immunity. According to Emwanta, some of these individuals even accompany the governor during political campaigns, further entrenching their ties to the state’s leadership. “They even move with Obaseki on the campaign ground. He keeps them under his immunity as Governor,” Emwanta added.

One individual specifically named in the interview is a man identified as Olaye, who Emwanta alleges carries firearms, including a pump-action shotgun, to political meetings. “That man comes into political meetings with a pump action. I have challenged him before,” Emwanta recounted. He also linked Olaye to a past murder, claiming that the individual is hiding under the protection of the governor to evade justice.

Emwanta expressed his frustrations with the lack of action from state authorities, including a complaint he said he lodged with the Chief of Staff. “I complained to the Chief of Staff. They said, ‘No, that’s his style.’ That same man was one of those involved in that murder. He is hiding under the cover of the Governor,” the lawyer said.

Emwanta, who describes himself as someone committed to truth and justice, emphasized the seriousness of his accusations. “My name is truth,” he declared, underscoring the urgency of the matter.

These explosive allegations come amid rising political tensions in Edo State as the state gears up for its upcoming governorship election. As the political landscape becomes increasingly volatile, the safety of political actors and the rule of law are once again under scrutiny.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
