International human rights attorney Emmanuel Ogebe related a story about sending ₦12,000 to a soldier’s wife in Yobe State who had previously been taken prisoner by Fulani bandits.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Ogebe claimed that the soldier’s wife was incredibly appreciative of the meager money he provided her and often texted him to express her gratitude in a recent AIT YouTube video. He claimed this demonstrated the desperation of a large portion of the populace. Sad that the woman had to rely on assistance from others just to get by, he continued.

In Ogebe’s words: “I sent 12 thousand naira to the wife of a soldier in Yobe who was a captive of Fulani bandits, this woman sent me 5 texts thanking me for the 12 thousand naira. The sad thing is that people are so desperate that when the see a little they are thankful to God for the little that they have.
