2027:Sule Lamido, It’s Going To Be Difficult With Tinubu With His Hold On The Country, Economy

According to former governor of Jigawa State Sule Lamido, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is attempting to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027. Notwithstanding these intentions, Lamido did not downplay Tinubu’s extraordinary political abilities.

Vanguard reported that he described Tinubu as a daring and skillful politician who, despite the odds, managed to manipulate Nigeria’s intricate political system and emerge as president, even when faced with formidable opposition from various quarters.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Lamido pointed out that while the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is committed to contesting the 2027 elections, they face significant hurdles in achieving success.

He acknowledged the uphill task ahead, saying, “We are working hard, but it is a huge task. It is going to be difficult with Tinubu, with his hold on the country, on the economy, and his audacity to say this is where I stand against Nigeria’s interest.”

He further emphasized Tinubu’s audacious nature, referring to him as “very daring” and “a self-made man,” who built his political career from the ground up.

Lamido recounted Tinubu’s political journey, highlighting his ability to confront and overcome powerful entities such as the Alliance for Democracy, Afenifere, and former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

“Look at how he was able to fight the Alliance for Democracy and Afenifere and then Obasanjo,” Lamido noted, underscoring Tinubu’s knack for prevailing in tough political battles.

Lamido also touched on Tinubu’s resilience, pointing to the All Progressives Congress (APC) convention where Tinubu, despite opposition from then-President Muhammadu Buhari, managed to secure his victory.

“At the APC convention, Buhari was against him, but he defeated Buhari. What are you talking about? Don’t underestimate a man like that,” Lamido explained, highlighting Tinubu’s determination and political acumen.

The former governor went on to assert that Tinubu’s rise to power was not by chance but the result of his ability to dismantle established political structures.

“Every established political arrangement, every institution, he demolished them,” Lamido said, emphasizing the scale of Tinubu’s influence and determination.

Now that Tinubu holds the reins of power, Lamido believes he will not be an easy opponent. “Now that he is in charge, he is not going to be easy to deal with.

With Tinubu, Nigeria is a fiefdom; Tinubu is the emperor. And if you watch him closely, he doesn’t care,” he concluded, painting a picture of a leader who governs with confidence and seemingly little concern for opposition.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
