He highlighted that such attempts to undermine the Nigerian Armed Forces are unjustified, given that setbacks can occur even to the most advanced military forces. “The terrorist Bello Turji posting a video of captured armored vehicle doesn’t make him a hero or less of a criminal,” Sani stated. He continued, “Those using his propaganda images to demean the efforts and sacrifices of armed forces and the police should be reminded that even the most advanced military in the world can experience this kind of temporary setback.”

The incident, as reported by Punch, occurred in Kwashabawa, Zurmi Local Government, Zamfara State. According to Matawalle, Nigerian soldiers faced a challenging situation when their vehicles became stuck in muddy terrain. To prevent an ambush, the soldiers were instructed to retreat, leaving the vehicles behind. The video shared by Turji misleadingly portrays the vehicles as captured, although they remain in place due to their heavy weight and the need for specialized equipment to relocate them.

In response to the escalating security situation, Dr. Matawalle has directed Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, and Chief of Army Staff, General Lagbaja, to relocate to Sokoto. This move comes as part of a larger strategy to oversee an offensive aimed at countering the terrorists. The Nigerian government has recently intensified its efforts by deploying substantial troops and advanced military equipment, including drones and offensive weapons, to Sokoto.

Sani reaffirmed his support for the Nigerian military and police, stressing that the continued safety and stability of the nation are secured through the dedication and sacrifices of security personnel.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
