Presidency Explains Yusuf Bichi’s Removal, Alleged Ex-DSS Boss of Sabotaging Anti-Terrorism Efforts

 

According to The Guardian, Yusuf Bichi was dismissed by President Bola Tinubu from his position as Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) for allegedly undermining National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu’s counterterrorism initiatives. According to sources, Ribadu believed Bichi was impeding his ability to coordinate the President’s orders regarding security issues.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Tinubu appointed Mohammed Mohammed as the new Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and Adeola Ajayi as Bichi’s replacement. Ajayi, a seasoned intelligence officer, has received extensive training and has served in various states.

The DSS spokesman, Dr. Peter Afunanya, described Ajayi as “thoroughbred” and “versatile.” Ajayi rose through the ranks to Assistant Director-General and has served in multiple states.

Mohammed, the new NIA chief, has had an illustrious career in foreign service since 1995. He has served in various roles, including Director and head of the Nigerian Mission to Libya.
