He further stated that the protest has set a precedent that will be referenced for years to come, marking a pivotal shift in public consciousness and governance. He raised concerns about President Tinubu’s actions, particularly regarding the Malta refinery and the alleged secret subsidy payments. He emphasized that these issues, brought to light through the protest, demand transparency and accountability from the government, reflecting the enduring impact of the people’s demand for better governance.

He said in an interview with The Sun, “Some say there was no benefit achieved over the nationwide protest against bad governance. Do you share in such a view? The achievements recorded from the protests are many, and it will serve as a reference point many years to come. But beyond that, the consciousness that power belongs to the people and that government is all about the people has been instilled in the mind of those in government.
