Zainab Bayero: People Pleaded With My Dad’s Sons To Give Us Something To Start Living, They Refused

 

The late Emir of Kano’s daughter, Zainab Jummai Addo Bayero, has responded to allegations that she wasted funds her family received from Abba Kabir Yusuf, the governor of Kano State. In an interview with Daily Trust on Monday, she revealed that she and her brother were not granted a portion of their father’s assets and that she was abandoned by her siblings after their father passed away.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

She said that after her father’s death, several people stepped in and begged her siblings to give them some of their father’s inheritance, but they refused.

She said, “Different people pleaded with my father’s sons to give us something to start living – to buy us a home, to get us back to school, to give us something to do business – but they refused. That is why we are going to our father’s friends, people to help us.

“The same people will go back to my father’s family and inquire what is going on. Is this true? And at the same time, if they inquire from them, they will shut down, they won’t help us. I don’t know why.”

 

 

It should be recalled that in June, Zainab had come out to the public to solicit for assistance, saying that she, her mother, and her brother were about to be thrown out of the apartment they were staying in Lagos.

After that, the Kano State Governor had reached out to her family to assist them with money to sort out some of their issues.

Zainab sparked controversy after she came out a few days ago to solicit for help again. She said that she needed money to get her brother back in school and sort out their accommodation issue in Lagos.
