Speaking during a media briefing marking his first year in office as FCT Minister, Wike emphasized that he is committed to fulfilling President Bola Tinubu’s agenda rather than engaging with Fubara.

According to Daily Post, the ongoing discord between Wike and Fubara has persisted since the latter took office, leading to significant disruptions within the Rivers State House of Assembly and the formation of factions.

Despite efforts by President Tinubu and other political figures to mediate, the rift remains unresolved.

Wike highlighted his past support for Fubara, stating, “In good conscience, I fought for Fubara to become governor without any regrets, but if he chooses not to align with us, that’s his decision.”

He compared the situation to former Lagos Governor Bola Tinubu’s fallout with ex-Commissioner Rauf Aregbesola, suggesting that political alliances can dissolve without affecting his commitment to his current responsibilities.

Wike further underscored his dedication to his ministerial role, asserting, “I am focused on the mandate Mr. President gave me in the FCT.”

His remarks signal a clear intention to continue his work without revisiting the troubled relationship with Governor Fubara.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
