After Atiku Said Service Chiefs Who Used Force On Protesters Will Account For It, Bayo Onanuga Reacts

 

Bayo Onanuga, an advisor to President Tinubu, has responded to remarks made by Alhaji Waziri Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president of Nigeria, that military commanders and service chiefs who use force against peaceful protestors will be held accountable for their acts even after they retire. Atiku Abubakar stated that anybody who approved the use of deadly force would be held accountable in a message that he uploaded on his page.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Here is what Atiku wrote on his page;

“I wish to convey a stern caution to the distinguished service chiefs and military commanders of Nigeria’s armed forces that those who authorise the use of lethal force against peaceful civilian protesters will be held responsible for committing crimes against humanity, even in the years following their retirement from service”.

However, Bayo Onanuga has now reacted to the statement. In a post that he shared on his page, he said the Service Chiefs should be commended for their patriotic duty to the country.

Here is what he wrote on his page;

“The Service Chiefs, officers, and men of our security outfits should be commended for their patriotic duty to our country. As a supporter and enabler of the destructive ‘protests,’ Alhaji Atiku wants the sinister protests to continue despite the street’s red signals.
