Senator from Anambra, Ifeanyi Ubah, dies in a London hotel at age 53

 

53-year-old Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, a member of the National Assembly who represented Anambra South, passed away. On Saturday, July 27, 2024, Ubah, who was also Capital Oil’s chief executive officer, passed suddenly in a London hotel.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

His death was confirmed by Senate spokesperson Yemi Adaramodu to The PUNCH.

Born on September 3, 1971, Ubah was just weeks away from celebrating his 53rd birthday.

Ubah first entered the Senate under the banner of the Young People’s Party (YPP).

His political career saw a significant shift last year when he defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The senator’s life was not without its trials.

In September 2022, he survived an assassination attempt when his convoy was ambushed by gunmen on his way to Nnewi in Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra State.

The attack resulted in the tragic deaths of at least five individuals, including two policemen, while Ubah managed to escape unharmed, thanks to the bulletproof vehicle he was traveling in.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
