The Osun State Police Command has detained 50-year-old herbalist Kehinde Ganiyu on suspicion of killing his Ghanaian buddy Emmanuel Collins and using the victim’s throat to create ritual soap for online scammers, popularly referred to as “Yahoo boys.” Oba-Oke in Olorunda Local Government Area, Osun State, is where the event happened, according to a report published by The Nation on Saturday.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
Ganiyu was paraded at the Osun Police Command, where he confessed to the crime.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, Ganiyu was arrested with several items, including four blood-stained knives, a chisel, two gourds, a wooden traditional pot containing black soap, two sponges with black soap, a traditional tray (Opon Ifa), and local charms.
Ganiyu confessed to newsmen that he visited his friend, who was sick, and cut out his throat while he was in bed.
He said that he then used the throat to prepare ritual money soap for Yahoo boys.
He claimed that he is an herbalist and a farmer and had previously performed such rituals, but usually received human parts from others.
He expressed regret for his actions, stating that he had attended his friend’s burial and was caught due to suspicion and police investigation.
He said, “I am an herbalist and a farmer. I used to do that kind of ritual for yahoo boys but they are the ones that do bring human parts. This time around, I looked out for the parts myself.
“I regretted my action because I also attended his burial, but suspicion and investigation of police led to my arrest. I don’t believe that I can kill my age-long friend like that.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
