Planned Protest: You’ll Meet the Strongest Resistance of Your Lives —According to Tinubu’s Aide To Protesters

 

Dada Olusegun, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Social Media, warned people preparing to demonstrate against the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that they would face the most fierce opposition of their life. However, the presidential adviser clarified that the silent majority of voters who supported President Tinubu would mount the resistance instead of security forces in a message on Tuesday via his X (previously Twitter) handle.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

He wrote:

 

“Those who want to burn the country down under whatever guise will meet the strongest resistance of their lives. Not from security agencies, but from the silent majority that gave their mandate to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for four years in the first instance. We are waiting.”

Olusegun’s comment, is however perceived as a threat by many Nigerians, especially on social media, who are in support of the planned nationwide protests against the current economic hardship they are confronted with day to day.

Meanwhile, human rights organization, Amnesty International, in its reaction to Olusegun’s post, warned that threatening intended peaceful protesters is unlawful.
