Former presidential adviser Laolu Akande has denounced the farce that just unfolded in the Senate, where a letter from the APC Chairman was read aloud. The letter, titled “Complaints Against the Unbecoming Utterances of Senator Ali Ndume,” was read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during a plenary session. It expressed the displeasure of the APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) regarding Ndume’s criticism of the government and the party.

Akande criticized the move, saying, “You don’t bring the letter of your chairman to the floor of the house.” He also questioned the inaction of PDP members, who “sat down like sitting dogs” instead of objecting to the unusual move.

Akande called for decorum in the Senate, urging lawmakers to maintain a professional atmosphere. “Go and fix your stuff. Don’t turn the whole thing into a pathetic melodrama. It’s uncalled for,” he said.
